Building the AI
operating system
for institutional capital
At Leopard Labs, we're building the AI OS for institutional capital, partnering with 60 of the world's top hedge funds to turn today's analog processes into tomorrow's autonomous ones. This is how the next generation of investment organizations will think, decide, and operate.
Wealth and Asset Management is undergoing a foundational reset. Manual processes, fragmented systems, and legacy infrastructure are no longer competitive. As capital flows grow more complex and alpha becomes harder to find, the winners will be those who re-platform around intelligence.
AI and digital infrastructure aren't just incremental upgrades: they're a new operating model. Intelligent agents can now automate compliance-heavy workflows, surface actionable insights in real-time, and drive exponential efficiency across front, middle, and back office.
Approach

Step One
Design Partner-Led Research
We don’t ship features, we co-develop solutions. We work with a design partner network of 100+ industry professionals across hedge funds, PE firms and family offices. Every prototype is tested in production-like environments to ensure we’re not just building software, but tools that drive real outcomes in real time.

Step Two
Workflow Mapping with Precision
We dissect critical workflows across front, middle, and back office - pinpointing friction, compliance burdens, and alpha leakage. This clarity reveals where automation and intelligence can unlock exponential gains. While 80% of private fund managers report rising operational complexity, (Carne Group’s Change 2025 report) and most still rely on outdated, siloed systems.

Step Three
Embedded with the World’s Best
We collaborate with 60 of the world’s top asset managers, embedding ourselves in their day-to-day to deeply understand how they work, where value is created, and what’s holding them back. This proximity gives us privileged insight into real problems and the credibility to solve them.

Step Four
Business Model Aligned to Client Outcomes
Our model scales with client success. We structure incentives and pricing around the value we help create—whether that’s increased AUM, enhanced efficiency, or reduced risk. And the opportunity is real: institutional investors report an average 10x ROI (McKinsey report) from tech and AI initiatives when properly implemented.

Ed Barrow

Co-Founder and CEO
Ed is a serial founder and product builder with 15+ years of experience launching and scaling ventures across Europe and Africa. He co-founded Patch and previously ran marketplace businesses at Rocket Internet, building from zero to scale in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
He started his career on the trading floor, structuring complex fund-linked products for institutional investors. Selling to these clients was a grind - long deal cycles, bespoke requirements like Sharia compliance, capital protection, diversification mandates - every pitch was a custom job.
This led to a conviction that intelligence and automation could transform the way high-touch, complex products are discovered, sold, and delivered.
Later, at McKinsey he advised FTSE 100s on Product, Transformation and Venture.
